500Million Symfony downloads contest results!

Thanks to everyone for celebrating this milestone with Symfony!

The road to 500 Million Symfony downloads started on September 9th along with the #500Million Twitter contest! So many of you took part in the contest and shared your best celebration photos. We really did enjoy seeing your awesome pics!

Last week, as Symfony hit its 500 million downloads milestone (on Monday 26th September around 5:25 pm Paris time), many of you shared your love of the framework with the world. We received so many creative, hilarious, ingenious pictures of your personal celebrations that it wasn’t easy to choose the winners. Nonetheless, we had to decide. Our SensioLabs contest jury chose their favorites and here are the results… drumroll please… the winnings shots of #500Million.

We are so impressed with your great spirit, sense of fun and obvious joy. Whether jumping with your team, a silly selfie, a cake, candles, elephants, a special command, or even a cockatiel, we just died laughing as we went through the many entries!

Congratulations to the winners of this contest!

  • Locastic will receive an annual subscription to the Blackfire Premium Plan

Help the Symfony project!

As with any Open-Source project, contributing code or documentation is the most common way to help, but we also have a wide range of sponsoring opportunities.

Thank you, it was fun! I'm happy I won the prize that suits me the best :D
