The version 0.6 of the symfony framework is under development and should bring a lot of very interesting features.
Among them, the replacement of constants by a new sfConfig object will allow extended unit testing, beyond the limitations of PHP.
Another great addition is a back-office generator, which will allow you to have a fully functional back-office based on your object model and a simple configuration generated as simply as the propelcrud.
This post is also the occasion to reassure those who are worried about the lesser pace of updates in the website, as compared to the askeet series period: we are still working hard on symfony! Stay tuned, for an alpha release of the symfony 0.6 version will be released early next week.
Happy new years to all the symfony enthusiasts, and thank you for your contributions and interest!
