We're secure! (or getting there)
February 7, 2011 • Published by Stefan Koopmanschap
So a month ago we called for the community to contribute to the project financially, so we could have SektionEins execute a security audit on Symfony2, Twig and also Doctrine. The donation drive was a huge success! Thanks to the community as a whole (and especially phpBB and Sensio), we now have enough money to order security audits on all three packages.
What we needed for the security audits was:
Twig: 1000 EUR
Doctrine2: 4500 EUR
Symfony2: 4000 EUR
Thanks to our generous community, we reached this point within a month! Great work everyone. And I can not stress enough that big or small, all the donations together is what makes this donation drive a success! Of course we want to thank everyone who donated! We had donations ranging from 48 cents up to 5000 euro, and everything in between. All of this combined helps us with improving the project, which is what it's all about!
Out of all people who donated, many of you sent me a name and URL, so here is the list of people who donated that also wanted to be mentioned:

Help the Symfony project!
As with any Open-Source project, contributing code or documentation is the most common way to help, but we also have a wide range of sponsoring opportunities.
