We are looking for an experienced Symfony Developer to join our growing team. This is a remote position open to candidates located in the UK or European timezones. You will play a vital role in developing and enhancing our platform, expanding to new markets, and ensuring a seamless experience for our users. You will be working closely with one of our founders who is based in the UK. If you have experience working with Symfony and are eager to grow your skills, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise web applications using the Symfony framework
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different timezones to design and implement new features
  • Work with AWS server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
  • Design and optimise MySQL databases for efficiency and reliability
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
  • Write automated tests to ensure code quality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise

Qualifications

  • Experience working with the Symfony framework
  • Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with AWS services
  • Automated testing and best practices
  • Good understanding of version control systems, particularly Git
  • Integration with APIs
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills in English (any other European languages are a plus)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Located within the UK or European timezones
