Backend Symfony Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Symfony Developer to join our growing backend team working on a sophisticated enterprise-grade platform. The role involves building robust, scalable, and secure backend systems integrated with modern frontend and DevOps environments.

The platform is modular in nature and includes features across core HR, time tracking, CRM, finance, and analytics—providing the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging engineering tasks.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, frontend, QA, and product stakeholders, to deliver high-impact features that power real-world business workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Symfony (PHP) in a Dockerized environment.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring best practices in architecture and documentation.
• Work with MySQL for relational data and Elasticsearch for search/analytics use cases.
• Implement complex business logic across domains such as HR workflows, contract management, scheduling, and billing.
• Integrate third-party services and internal APIs into the existing architecture.
• Collaborate with frontend developers working on Angular and Flutter interfaces.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI, GitHub, and AWS deployments.
• Maintain code quality, enforce testing standards, and support debugging and troubleshooting processes.

Requirements

✅ Strong experience in Symfony (4.x/5.x/6.x) and modern PHP practices.

✅ Solid knowledge of relational databases (MySQL) and data modeling.

✅ Experience working with Elasticsearch or similar search/analytics engines.

✅ Comfortable working in Docker-based development environments.

✅ Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control (GitHub), and code review processes.

✅ Experience building and consuming REST APIs.

✅ Understanding of software design patterns, data integrity, and domain modeling.

✅ Ability to work independently and in Agile teams.

✅ Good communication skills in English (written & verbal).

Nice to Have

• Experience with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, HRMS, or ATS.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like Angular or Flutter.
• Exposure to financial systems, timesheet tracking, or workflow engines.
• Interest or hands-on work in AI/ML-based matching or automation (optional).
