This week, Symfony celebrated the SymfonyOnline January 2025 conference. In addition, it announced the new Symfony UX Core Team. Lastly, the upcoming Symfony 7.3 version simplified the configuration of the web debug toolbar replacement on Ajax requests and introduced a JsonEncodable attribute.

This week, Symfony development activity was very intense. The upcoming Symfony 7.3 version added a Slug constraint, introduced support for union types in OptionsResolver, enabled using HTTP/3 with the CurlHttpClient, and added support for invokable commands and input attributes. This week, we launched the new Twig playground, a tool that lets you test and experiment with Twig features in a safe, sandboxed environment. While Symfony development activity was lighter than usual due to the year-end holidays, we introduced a new is_granted_for_user() function to check authorization for a given user directly in Twig templates.
