A Week of Symfony #778 (22-28 November 2021)

This week, Symfony 4.4.35 and 5.3.12 releases were published to address some potential security vulnerabilities. In addition, Symfony 5.4.0-RC1 and 6.0.0-RC1 were published in preparation for their imminent stable release. Lastly, Symfony announced the last days of its Black Friday 2021 deals which end on November 29.

A Week of Symfony #777 (15-21 November 2021)

This week, Symfony 5.4.0 BETA3 and 6.0.0 BETA3 versions were published so you can test them on your applications before their final release at the end of the month. In addition, the Symfony Core Team added four new members to help grow the Symfony project in the next few years.

A Week of Symfony #776 (8-14 November 2021)

This week, Symfony development activity focused on polishing and tweaking the upcoming Symfony 5.4 and 6.0 releases (both will be published before the end of this month). In addition, Symfony announced a new sponsoring program for SaaS providers to back their Symfony bridges.

A Week of Symfony #775 (1-7 November 2021)

This week, Symfony 5.4.0-BETA1 and 6.0.0-BETA1 versions were published in preparation for their final release at the end of November 2021. We also published the first articles about the new features of Symfony 5.4. Lastly, we announced more speakers for the upcoming SymfonyWorld Online 2021 Winter Edition conference (December 9-10, 2021).

A Week of Symfony #774 (25-31 October 2021)

This week, Symfony 4.4.33 and 5.3.10 maintenance versions were released. Meanwhile, Symfony development activity focused on finishing and polishing many new features for the upcoming Symfony 5.4 and 6.0 versions. Lastly, we announced new speakers for the SymfonyWorld Online 2021 Winter Edition conference (December 9-10, 2021) and some new additions to the Symfony Backers program.

A Week of Symfony #773 (18-24 October 2021)

This week, Symfony development activity focused on adding autocompletion features to some of the built-in commands. Meanwhile, the Symfony Docs website was redesigned to give it a modern and more useful look. Lastly, we announced nine additional speakers for the upcoming SymfonyWorld Online 2021 Winter Edition conference (December 9-10, 2021).

A Week of Symfony #772 (11-17 October 2021)

This week, the upcoming Symfony 6.0 version continued polishing some of its new features, such as: the new debug:dotenv command, the profiler improvement to display authenticators information and the support of autowiring union and intersection types. In addition, we announced the workshops and the first speakers of the SymfonyWorld Online 2021 Winter Edition conference.

A Week of Symfony #771 (4-10 October 2021)

This week, Symfony continued adding tweaks to fix compatibility with the future PHP 8.1 version. Meanwhile, the upcoming Symfony 5.4 version merged some new features such as basic support for language negotiation and a CssColor constraint to validate that a given value matches any of the formats available to define CSS colors.

A Week of Symfony #770 (27 September - 3 October 2021)

This week, Symfony 4.4.32 and 5.3.9 maintenance versions were released. Meanwhile, we continued polishing the upcoming Symfony 5.4 and 6.0 versions with some bug fixes and new features such as the option to configure log level and status code per exception class.

A Week of Symfony #769 (20-26 September 2021)

This week, Symfony announced that Flex is going serverless. This will simplify our operations and will allow you to host custom recipes in your own repositories and to add features on top of the public Flex API. In addition, the upcoming Symfony 5.4 version added support for RGB notation in Console colors and added a new EnumType form field.
