Symfony 5.0.0 released

Warning: Symfony 5.0 is no longer supported. Consider upgrading your applications to the most recent Symfony version.

Symfony 5.0.0 has just been released. Here is a list of the most important changes:

  • bug #34464 [Form] group constraints when calling the validator (@nicolas-grekas)
  • bug #34451 [DependencyInjection] Fix dumping multiple deprecated aliases (@shyim)
  • bug #34448 [Form] allow button names to start with uppercase letter (@xabbuh)

  • bug #34428 [Security] Fix best encoder not wired using migrat _from (@chalasr)

Nice done!
Excited for the new major version!
Congratulation !!!
I'm so happpyyyyyy !
Hm, is it "only" bugfixes? Does that mean its BC?
@Delf: this page is summarizing what to expect regarding BC very well:

Mainly last 4.x (4.4) version is already covering all/most features/changes of 5.0 while being BC compatible with all 4.x versions, while 5.0 will cut out those classes/methods/feautures that have been marked @deprecated in 4.x version(s)
I find it quite a bummer to find out that this blogpost is written by just executing a shell script. So much for human interaction these days... 😉
w00t! Great job to anyone who contributed!
@Delf: The changes listed here are just the fixes since 5.0.0-RC1.
Great! (Happy :))
Awesome! :)
Was fun to see you do this live during your keynote at SymfonyCon!
where I can find the list of changes between 5.0 and 4.4?
Will StofDoctrineExtensionsBundle be working with Symfony 5? I saw that right now is not compatible.
Two releases in the same week ! ... good job
Oh gosh! That's awsome.
