The COVID-19 crisis is disrupting personal and professional lives of billions of people around the world. Some of you have told us that, because of it, you cannot prepare for the Symfony Certification exams before your vouchers expire.
In addition, we faced some troubles in the past months that prevented us from publishing the long-awaited Symfony 5 certification. This crisis is making it even more difficult for us.
For these reasons, we have decided to extend the validity of your unused vouchers. These are the details:
- If you haven't taken the exam yet and your voucher expires from March 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, its expiration is automatically extended until December 31, 2020;
- If your voucher expires beyond December 31, 2020, its expiration is kept unchanged.
This change has already been applied to your vouchers, so you don't need to do anything. If you have any question, contact our support.
Many would like to prepare (myself included) for the Symfony 5 certification as they suddenly have more time on hand, however without any target date of its availability it would be difficult to plan.
Can we get a probable idea when the Symfony 5 certification will be available? Is there any plan to mitigate the technical issues?
TIA
@Mohammad we totally understand your concern. Yes, there are plans to fix this soon and we hope to announce more things sooner than later. But we don't want to share an estimate date publicly because we're in uncertain times and things can change suddenly. Thanks for understanding!
Are the exams available to take online?
@Colin, yes the exams are taken online. We're going to announce some changes soon (in a few weeks max) but the exam will continue being online.
