Announcing symfony Day Cologne

It is with great pleasure that I announce a new symfony event: symfony Day Cologne. symfony Day will be the first symfony conference in Germany. On september 4th 2009, symfony fans from Europe and beyond are invited to come visit the beautiful city of Cologne for excellent speakers, great discussions and an awesome party.

Symfony Day 2009

Symfony Day Cologne will be interesting for both beginning symfony developers and people looking for most advanced topics. The day will be split into two tracks: a full-day workshop for beginners led by Stefan Koopmanschap, and a track of presentations on more advanced topics such as Doctrine 1.2 and symfony 1.3, Testing with lime, best practices, Sympal and more. These topics will be presented by speakers such as Jonathan Wage, Bernhard Schussek, Nicolas Perriault, Xavier Lacot and Rob Bors.

Registration is now open, you can register through the website. Participation in this event is an affordable 80 euro per person, which includes food and drinks. The event takes places at the Cologne Triangle at the Ottoplatz 1 in Cologne, right next to the Cologne Messe/Deutz trainstation.

This event is organized by Interlutions. Full schedule, registration and information on the location as well as a twitter stream can be found on the official symfony Day website. See you september 4th!

Help the Symfony project!

As with any Open-Source project, contributing code or documentation is the most common way to help, but we also have a wide range of sponsoring opportunities.

Yeah, that's what I was waiting for! See you there!

Cheers, Daniel
