Lead Symfony Developer

🏗️ Context : taking up the challenge at Incenteev

After 10 years with us, our Head of Engineering - Symfony and AI is passing on the relay.

We are therefore looking for someone who can take up the challenge, structure our tech team, and continue to develop a useful, robust, and human-centered product.

At Incenteev, we design a SaaS platform that makes managers better and teams more agile. Our clients include Procter & Gamble, Orange, LG, Groupama, Société Générale, and more. Our focus is on managerial learning, collective performance, and real-time feedback.

We are a small tech team based in Paris, with a solid architecture (Symfony/PHP) and a product that is rapidly expanding internationally.

👨‍💻 The position: Head of Engineering Symfony + AI

• You will join Incenteev to lead our development team (~5 people), ensure the technical quality of our platform, and support the transition to a more scalable organization.
• You will work directly with the CTO, PMs, and designers.
• You are as much a technical leader as you are a people manager, able to juggle vision, rigor, and kindness.

🎯 Your responsibilities

• Manage the engineering team (recruitment, 1:1 meetings, progress, feedback)
• Oversee architectural choices and ensure best tech practices are followed
• Contribute to the product roadmap and decision-making with the product team
• Organize sprints and technical prioritization methodically
• Implement (or improve) our CI/CD, monitoring, quality, and security tools
• Ensure the consistency of code, documentation, and technical debt
• Participate in the long-term vision of the platform with the CTO

🔍 Preferred profile

✅ Essential

• 6–10+ years of experience in web development, with a strong backend background
• Bilingual in French and English
• Significant experience in tech team management
• Advanced proficiency in Symfony/PHP
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills
• Curiosity about the product, desire to understand users
• Desire to take over from an experienced manager and grow a team while maintaining continuity
• Availibilty on work on site in our Paris office (France)
