Required Skills
- 6+ years of experience as a backend developer with PHP 8+ and Symfony
- Backend stack: MySQL, RESTful APIs, Message Queue, Redis, Git, Docker — you have the full toolkit covered
- Testing expertise: PHPUnit (unit & functional tests) is your standard, not an afterthought
- Self-driven: you work in a structured and highly independent manner
- Team player: you communicate proactively and help move the team forward
- Fluent English (international team)
Your Responsibilities
- Feature development: building new features and business logic in the PHP/Symfony backend in coordination with specialist teams
- API provisioning: RESTful interfaces for website and app
- Code quality: writing tests, conducting code reviews, and ensuring quality across the team
- Technical leadership: making architecture decisions, mentoring and supporting junior/mid-level developers
- Performance & maintenance: continuously improving the codebase and keeping libraries up to date
- Reliability: ensuring monitoring, error handling, and system stability
