A Week of Symfony #628 (7-13 January 2019)
This week, thanks to the low development activity, we enabled the usage of the PHP short array notation on Symfony code. In the coming weeks we'll update all our code at once to minimize merge conflicts. Meanwhile, the community proposed some Security-related improvements about Remember me config and IS_AUTHENTICATED_* attributes.
Fostering diversity of thought
In order to increase diversity in our community, we want to focus on building up more diverse speakers at our events by organizing an online workshop for people who identify as being part of an underrepresented group. This is a hands-on workshop that aims to cover all the important things needed, from coming up with talk proposals to speaking confidence along with a chance to practice speaking in a small group. Please follow the link to a poll on Twitter to voice your interest!
Diversity Update for 2019
Latest update on the diversity initiative featuring an update from SymfonyCon, information about the launching of bi-weekly chat meetings as well as how we aim to setup a governance process and improvements on how we collect donations.
