Symfony 2014 Year in Review: symfony.com website

2014 has been the busiest year in the entire history of the Symfony project website. First, we redesigned our website to bring in a more modern look and feel. Then, we added two new sections: Symfony Marketplace, which is the place where you can find all the products and services built around Symfony ecosystem and Symfony Jobs, which is the official job board to look for and post Symfony related job offers.

In addition, we boosted the official Symfony Blog with lots of new articles and a faster post publishing pace to provide you more contents. In case you missed any of them, this is the top 10 list of the most popular blog posts in 2014:

1. Push it to the limits - Symfony2 for High Performance needs (August 2014), a detailed case study about a company delivering 1 billion requests per week with a Symfony application.
2. The 30 Most Useful Symfony Bundles (and making them even better) (August 2014), a post listing the 30 most popular Symfony bundles according to the results of a community survey.
3. Introducing the Official Symfony Best Practices (October 2014), the post that announced the new Symfony Best Practices initiative.
4. Symfony 3.0: The roadmap (November 2014), a detailed explanation of the roadmap that Symfony project will follow to publish Symfony 3 in 2015.
5. New in Symfony 2.6: Bootstrap form theme (October 2014), the post that introduced one of the most requested features for Symfony forms: a Bootstrap CSS framework compatible theme.
6. Symfony 2.5.0 released (June 2014), the announcement of the Symfony 2.5.0 version release.
7. Symfony 2.6.0-BETA1 released (November 2014), the publication of the first beta version of the Symfony 2.6.0 version.
8. Symfony 2.6.0 released (November 2014), the announcement of the publication of the long-awaited 2.6.0 version.
9. Making the Symfony Experience Exceptional (June 2014), the post in which Ryan Weaver introduced the great DX (Developer Experience) initiative.
10. OroCRM, the new kid on the Symfony2 block (March 2014), an introduction to OroCRM, a new project built with Symfony by the founders of Magento project.

What's next?

As announced during the SymfonyCon Madrid 2014 conference, we'll introduce a new Symfony Showcase section in the first quarter of 2015. This section will show all the great websites built with Symfony ecosystem technologies.
