The Symfony Live Conference Paris 2009
I am very proud and excited to announce the very first symfony live conference, organized by Sensio Labs, with the help of the AFUP. The conference will be held in France, Paris, between June 11th and June 12th.
Even if the conference is only for French speaking people, it is yet another important step for the building of the symfony community in the world.
During two days, major websites using symfony (Yahoo! and Dailymotion, just to name the two biggest ones), will share their experience with the framework, and symfony developers will share their usage of symfony.
It is also a unique occasion to meet the symfony core team as many of them will be present during the conference (Jonathan Wage, Kris Wallsmith, Nicolas Perriault, Grégoire Hubert, Dustin Whittle, Romain Dorgueil, and myself).
With more than 20 sessions, and as many speakers, the definitive schedule has been published today. The program is packed with a lot of great sessions: from best web development practices, to more advanced technical sessions, I'm sure everybody will learn something new. To close the second day of the conference, I will host a live refactoring session. During this session, I will refactor some "real world" project done with symfony. If you are interested in letting me refactor your code, send me an email with the source code (I'm looking for projects that are visible online and simple enough to install).
The registration is now open. Even if we have just moved the conference to a bigger place (la Cité Universitaire Internationale) to welcome more people, the number of seats is limited; don't wait too much before registering.
If you can read French, you can also get the latest news about the conference by following the sflive09fr twitter account or by subscribing to the #sflive09fr twitter hashtag.
Last, but not least, the conference would not have been possible without the help of our great sponsors:
