Last year, the phpBenelux (back then the joint usergroups phpGG (NL) and phpBelgium) started the BugHuntDay initiative. People were able to come by on a saturday to join in fixing bugs for Zend Framework, being coached by one of their core contributors. This year, phpBenelux is again organizing a BugHuntDay, focussed this year on symfony! On Saturday November 14th from 10.00 until 17.00 you are welcome to join Fabien Potencier, Fabian Lange, Stefan Koopmanschap and the Benelux PHP community in Herentals in Belgium to help improve symfony, learn from eachother, and of course have some fun.

We're glad to announce August winner of 1day1ticket event.

Last friday, september 4th, the German city of Cologne was the host of a new symfony event: symfony Day. This new one-day event was organized by German web agency Interlutions. Before the event already, the excitement was building because of the interesting line up, and it looks like this excitement was very much justified.

As many companies from around the world asked me how they can sponsor the event, we have worked on a sponsor guide, which is now available for download.

Sensio Labs have recently launched a symfony training partner program. And I'm very proud to announce that our first certified training partner is Solution Set in the USA.

We now mirror the Propel, Phing, and Doctrine Subversion repositories.

Today, I'm happy to announce that Bernhard Schussek officially joins the symfony core team.

I have been the symfony Community Manager for just over two weeks now, but so far things have been silent. This has been for several reasons (new job, preparing for Symfony Day) but also to work out some plans I have. I have also received a couple of excellent ideas from the community, which I will be following up in the coming months.
