There are a lot of different ways to be an active member in the Symfony community and contribute to the common good of the project. Magnus Nordlander and Tobias Nyholm, two Symfony-certified Swedish developers decided a few months ago to create The Sound of Symfony, which is the first podcast solely dedicated to Symfony.
Episodes usually start with a quick recap of the most important recent news about Symfony, continue with an overview of upcoming Symfony events, and finish with an interview of an important Symfony community member.
During the recent SymfonyCon Madrid 2014 conference, Magnus and Tobias decided to do something special. First, they gave a lightning talk about the behind the scenes process to prepare each episode. Then, they decided to record their next episode right there during the conference!
Accompanied by all the required technical recording equipment, they used the SymfonyCon Hacking Day to converse with some of the conference attendees. This special SymfonyCon episode is now online, so check it out for better insights into the biggest Symfony event of the year.
Lastly, don't forget to follow @SoundOfSymfony on Twitter to get their latest updates and subscribe to their podcast on iTunes to not miss any future episodes.
That's a quite nice podcast! Listening to it since the first issue.
Great idea :)
