This week, symfony beat another development activity record with more than 210 changesets. Moreover, hundreds of framework's files have been improved with more detailed phpdoc information. Lastly, Symfony has established another awesome milestone with more than 400 public websites made with the framework, including some colossal Yahoo! web applications with more than 100 million users.

During this week, a new symfony 1.0.X maintenance version was released, fixing an important security breach. More than 20 plugins were updated, especially sfDoctrine, sfExtjsTheme and sfYUI.

Outstanding week for symfony with three new versions released: 1.0.14, 1.0.15 and 1.1.0 RC1. After its first release candidate, symfony 1.1 gets tons of fixes and enhancements. As usual, plugins continue breaking records with more than 22 updated plugins and 6 new plugins released during this week.

This week, symfony 1.0 branch has fixed several bugs, while symfony 1.1 branch continues polishing some features with bugfixes and refactorings. Among plugins, development activity has been focused on Doctrine. The plugin sfDoctrine for symfony 1.1 now has all the features of the bundled plugin sfPropelPlugin. In fact, sfDoctrinePlugin has even more features such as migrations, DQL, inheritance and additional admin generator features.

The last beta version of symfony 1.1 was released this week. Next version will be Release Candidate 1. Besides, plugins have broken all records this week with an immensurable development activity. More than 24 plugins have been updated and continue enhancing the framework in multiple ways.

Symfony 1.1 development continues with more than 130 changesets and the last refactorizations before its fourth beta. During this week symfony-related blogging and plugin development activity have also been remarkable.
April 20, 2008 #A week of symfony
Symfony 1.1 beta 3 was released this week, completing one of the last milestones before the final release of symfony 1.1. Meanwhile, symfony related jobs, blogs and posts about symfony and websites created with symfony continue blooming all around the world.
April 13, 2008 #A week of symfony
During this week, the second symfony "code sprint" took place, generating very intense development and documenting activity. The result is a whopping 170 changeset list and a great update of symfony 1.1 book. In addition, 10 new symfony-powered websites have been presented, 6 new plugins have been published and more than 20 plugins have been updated this week. Symfony source code has also established another extraordinary milestone with more than 8000 unit and functional tests.
April 6, 2008 #A week of symfony
This week, symfony 1.1 beta 2 was released, freezing the API of new features and finishing most of the internal refactoring. A new symfony sprint was announced and a tentative symfony 1.1 release date was disclosed (in about 4-8 weeks). Meanwhile, plugins maintain their frenetic activity and continue updating their code for symfony 1.1.

Symfony 1.1 polishing continues with dozens of tweaks and fixes during this week. Plugins maintain their great development activity with more than 20 updated plugins. Symfony 1.0 development achieves 1.0.12 milestone.
