A week of symfony #243 (22->28 August 2011)
This week, the first maintenance version of Symfony2 was released, fixing some minor bugs. Besides the official Git repository, all the Symfony2 components can be downloaded as a package from the Symfony2 PEAR channel. Lastly, the first official Symfony2 English trainings were also announced.

This week, we learned that Drupal project is considering the use of several Symfony2 components for its upcoming version. Therefore, Drupal could join other big PHP projects such as phpBB which already selected Symfony2 for developing its next versions.

This week, the echoes of the big Symfony 2.0.0 launch still resonated strongly. However, now that 2.0 is out, the work has already begun for the next versions. Lastly, a new maintainance version of symfony 1.4.x branch was also published.
