A week of symfony #60 (18->24 february 2008)
Calm week for symfony's core development. In contrast, there has been huge plugin development activity and whopping bugfixing with 45 defects closed.
A week of symfony #59 (11->17 february 2008)
The main activity of this week has been the refactorization of sfPatternRouting. Although the refactorization introduces several new features, all the modifications are backwards compatible. The new routing mechanism will be faster, more robust and much more configurable.
A week of symfony #58 (4->10 february 2008)
Symfony 1.1 code continues under heavy development activity. During this week, methods, variables and constants have been added, moved or deleted throughout the code. In addition, symfony 1.1 continues adding some last minute goodies: all the great features of sfPropelAlternativeSchemaPlugin will be natively available in the next version of the framework.
A week of symfony #57 (28 january -> 3 february 2008)
This week, development activity has been focused on sfConfiguration, the last new component of Symfony 1.1. The new configuration mechanism implies lots of changes in many of the framework's files but promises an important number of improvements.
A week of symfony #56 (21->27 January 2008)
Symfony 1.0.11 was released this week, closing 21 tickets and completing another milestone for 1.0.X branch. Meanwhile, symfony 1.1 added a way to mark template value as being safe for output and introduced sfFormExtraPlugin, a new plugin for packaging useful validators, widgets, and forms which will not be included in the main symfony package because they are too specific or have external dependencies.
A week of symfony #55 (14->20 january 2008)
The revolutionary form mechanism of Symfony 1.1 continues taking shape with new features, bug fixes and other tweaks. Creating a state-of-the-art form mechanism, incorporating some of the best practices from other frameworks and libraries and assuring its quality and flexibility takes some time but the wait will be definitely worthy.
A week of symfony #54 (7->13 january 2008)
Calm week for symfony framework with little core development activity. In contrast, plugins show intense activity and symfony related job postings continue growing.
A week of symfony #53 (31 december 2007 -> 6 january 2008)
New Year brings to symfony the same old frenetic development activity of the framework and its plugins. Symfony 1.1 continues polishing the new form mechanism and the CRUD generator has been refactored. Symfony reached this week another awesome milestone: its code quality is now assured by more than 7000 tests.
A week of symfony #52 (24->30 december 2007)
This is the last weekly summary of 2007, an incredible year for symfony. Next year will be even better with the release of new versions of symfony, hundreds of new plugins and thousands of new websites built with our favorite framework.
A week of symfony #51 (17->23 december 2007)
During this week, first symfony code sprint took place, with record-breaking activity culminated in the release of symfony 1.0.10. Meanwhile, symfony 1.1 development continues with lots of dependencies removal in its own new branch.
