This week, Symfony 5.3.0 version was released, followed by a 5.3.1 patch release to fix the first reported issues. Meanwhile, Symfony 4.4.25 and 5.2.10 maintenance versions were published. Finally, Symfony announced a 30% off summer sale on all certifications and most Symfony Store items for the next two weeks.

This week, Symfony 5.3 made the last tweaks and fixes before its final release. Meanwhile, the upcoming Symfony 6.0 version started working on removing legacy code and adding PHP types across the entire codebase. Lastly, Symfony announced a new SymfonyWorld Online Winter Edition conference (December 9-10) which will complement the imminent SymfonyWorld Online Summer Edition on June 17-18.

This week, Symfony 3.4.49, 4.4.24 and 5.2.9 maintenance versions were released. In addition, the first Release Candidate of Symfony 5.3.0 was published in preparation for its final release at the end of this month. Lastly, the SymfonyWorld 2021 conference (June 17-18) announced more keynotes and more talks.

This week, Symfony 3.4.48, 4.4.23 and 5.2.8 maintenance versions were released to mitigate the CVE-2021-21424 security issue. In addition, the fourth beta of Symfony 5.3 was published and the first speakers of the SymfonyWorld 2021 conference were announced.

This week, Symfony development activity focused on polishing Symfony 5.3 for its upcoming release and fixing some of the bugs reported for it. In addition, Symfony celebrated the SymfonyLive Online Spanish 2021 conference. The next official conference will be SymfonyWorld Online 2021 (June 17 - 18, 2021).

This week, the last new features of Symfony 5.3 were merged, such as the new translation providers and the new Target attribute to tell how a dependency is used and to hint named autowiring aliases. In addition, the first beta of Symfony 5.3 was published, so you can start testing it in your apps before its release at the end of May 2021.

This week, the upcoming Symfony 5.3 version introduced ConfigBuilder classes to configure packages using fluent and semantic PHP methods instead of plain arrays, it added a feature to autowire arguments using attributes, improved performance of Intl component by switching resources from JSON to PHP and introduced a handleForm() helper in the AbstractController class.

This week, the upcoming Symfony 5.3 version added new integrations to the Notifier bridge, such as the Microsoft Teams integration, and introduced the concept of required badges to Security passports.

This week, Symfony 4.4.21 and 5.2.6 maintenance versions were released. In addition, the Symfony 5 book published new updates for Symfony 5.2 and it's now available in 13 different languages.
