Today, I'm really excited to announce that Scott Chacon will be our guest at the Symfony Live Conference in February. Of course, he will host a session about Git.

As you might have noticed, the Symfony 2 code is now hosted on Git.

Since the last time I blogged about the next Symfony Live Conference, I have a whole lot of exiting news.

Today, the symfony core team released symfony 1.2.10, symfony 1.3.0 and symfony 1.4.0? That's big news... but there is one more thing.

Last saturday was the day that the PHPBenelux usergroup organized their annual BugHuntDay. This year, the focus was on symfony, which led to 4 core team members being there amongst the attendees of the day. The day was attended by 17 people in total who seemed excited to commit some time to supporting symfony, as well as a number of people in the IRC chatroom.

With the symfony BugHuntDay just around the corner next saturday 14th of november, it is time to have a look at what you can do to prepare yourself. Luckily, one of the PHPBenelux crew members, Thijs Feryn, has posted a tutorial on his weblog on what you can do to prepare for the BugHuntDay.

This week on friday 30 and saturday 31 October, the PHPBarcelona Conference takes place in Barcelona. During this conference, symfony will be represented by two core team members: Fabien Potencier will speak about Symfony 2 and Stefan Koopmanschap will present his "Integrating symfony and Zend Framework" talk. If you are in the area or interested in these and many other topics, then you are recommended to come by!
