This week, Symfony Conferences announced that their Call for Papers are still open for SymfonyLive Warszawa, for SymfonyLive Berlin and for SymfonyCon Disneyland Paris. In addition, MakerBundle added new features to reset passwords. Meanwhile, the upcoming Symfony 5.1 version simplified decorated services and added a way to control the Cursor in the terminal.

This week, Symfony published 4.4.7 and 5.0.7 versions to address some security vulnerabilities. Meanwhile, the upcoming Symfony 5.1 version added a feature to dump factory files as classes and improved class preloading. This will be one of the topics of the next SymfonyLive Online event on April 17, 2020.

This week, Symfony 4.4.6 and 5.0.6 maintenance versions were released. Symfony 5.0.6 was released live during the SymfonyLive Online event, which shed some light on the huge maintenance work required to manage Symfony.

This week, the upcoming Symfony 5.1 version improved error messages in failing tests, added new form theme blocks to customize collections and the entire codebase started using the new get_debug_type() function thanks to the PHP 8 polyfill.

This week, the upcoming Symfony 5.1 version added a simpler way to log in users in tests and introduced a new UID component to generate "universal identifiers" such as ULID, UUID, etc. Meanwhile, we announced some conference changes and we introduced SymfonyCloud trials.

This week, the upcoming Symfony 5.1 version added a portable HTTP/2 implementation for the Symfony HttpClient based on Amp HTTP client and the DumpServer was improved to log whenever a payload is received.

This week, Symfony 3.4.38, 4.4.5 and 5.0.5 maintenance versions were released. In addition, the upcoming Symfony 5.1 version added new security attributes to simplify the way you check for logged in, remembered and anonymous users. Finally, the SymfonyLive Lille 2020 conference took place and the SymfonyLive Paris 2020 conference announced the end of its regular registration period.

This week, Symfony development activity focused on fixing small issues and implementing features such as caching choice lists in forms. Meanwhile, the SymfonyCon Disneyland Paris 2020 conference published more details about the activities we'll organize to celebrate Symfony's 15th anniversary. Finally, SymfonyLive Paris 2020 conference announced its full schedule and SymfonyLive Lille 2020 conference will take place next week.

This week, the upcoming Symfony 5.1 version added an AbstractChoiceLoader to Forms, improved the DX of OptionsResolver allowing to set an info message per option and added bridges in Notifier for Mattermost, RocketChat, Firebase and OvhCloud. In addition, the Symfony 5 book is now available for purchase in PDF in multiple languages and we added new badges in SymfonyConnect.
February 16, 2020 #A week of symfony
This week, Symfony development activity soared, with tens of bug fixes and new features merged across all components. The new features include support for PostgreSQL LISTEN/NOTIFY in the Messenger component, allow to define priorities in route annotations, the option to define a reusable set of constraints and some improvements related to deprecations. In addition, the SymfonyLive Paris 2020 conference announced the first part of its schedule.
