A week of symfony #494 (13-19 June 2016)
This week, Symfony 3.1.1 maintenance version was released. Meanwhile, the upcoming Symfony 3.2 version added lots of new features, such as a way to dump the ExpressionLanguage AST, a new file() helper in the base controller, a simpler way to test commands and a tag-based invalidation mechanism for the cache . Lastly, a new SymfonyLive Chicago 2016 conference was announced for October 13-14.
A week of symfony #493 (6-12 June 2016)
This week, 2.7.14, 2.8.7 and 3.0.7 maintenance versions were released. Meanwhile, the upcoming Symfony 3.2 version started adding new features: the Console component improved how command aliases are displayed and changed the behavior of the quiet mode to display error messages. In addition, the PropertyAccess component added a PSR-6 cache and the WebProfilerBundle was updated to make it compatible with Content-Security-Policy contexts that prevent unsafe-inline of script-src or style-src directives.
A week of symfony #492 (30 May - 5 June 2016)
This week, Symfony 3.1.0 was released, becoming the first Symfony 3 version which adds new features. Meanwhile, Symfony 2.3.42 was also released, putting and end to the popular Symfony 2.3 branch. From now on, this branch will only receive security fixes for one year.
A week of symfony #491 (23-29 May 2016)
This week, Symfony 3.1 Release Candidate version was published in preparation for its final release next week. Meanwhile, the SymfonyLive London 2016 conference was announced for September.
A week of symfony #490 (16-22 May 2016)
This week Symfony development activity slowed down in preparation of the imminent release of the 3.1 version. Meanwhile, the fourth Symfony Docs Hack Day took place with great success. Lastly, Silex 2.0 was finally released after two years of development.
A week of symfony #489 (9-15 May 2016)
This week the first beta of Symfony 3.1 was published in preparation for its release in two weeks. Meanwhile, four maintenance versions were released to address some security issues. In addition, the fourth Symfony Docs Hack Day was announced for next week.
A week of symfony #488 (2-8 May 2016)
This week Symfony published 2.8.5 and 3.0.5 maintenance versions. Meanwhile, a new tool called Deptrac was introduced to help you keep dependencies between the layers in your architecture under control. Lastly, the SymfonyCon Berlin 2016 conference opened its call for papers and the early bird registration.
A week of symfony #487 (25 April - 1 May 2016)
This week Symfony published 2.3.40 and 2.7.12 maintenance versions and unveiled its new documentation search engine. Meanwhile, in the Symfony ecosystem, Silex added support for the Guard security component and Swiftmailer fixed lots of issues. Lastly, the SymfonyLive Cologne 2016 conference was held with great success.
A week of symfony #486 (18-24 April 2016)
This week Symfony worked again on preparing the release of Symfony 3.1, which will happen at the end of the next month. In addition to finishing the new Cache component integration, the serializer integrated the PropertyInfo component. Lastly, next week the Symfony Live Cologne 2016 conference will take place.
A week of symfony #485 (11-17 April 2016)
This week Symfony continued working on stabilizing the new features introduced in Symfony 3.1, which is six weeks away from its release. Meanwhile, minor improvements were added to previous Symfony versions, such as using proper ANSI escape sequences in the ProgressBar and replaced iconv_*() calls by mb_*() to improve performance.
